Brewery Vivant’s Tart Side of the Moon – A Tart Imperial Stout?

My mind was kind of blown when I tried Brewery Vivant’s Pumpin Tart, because it took what I liked about pumpkin ales and added that extra twist of tartness. Well, guess what? They’re back at it again and this time it’s a tart imperial stout called “Tart Side of the Moon”. Weighing in at 9.5%, it’s sure to be a doozy.

Odd Side Ales – The Nightman Leaveth Imperial Rye Milk Stout Review

It’s hard to not compare this to Odd Side’s other recent bourbon barrel aged stout – Hazel’s Nuts. While they seem to be very similar on the outside, I found that they were quite different when compared against each other. Bell’s Brewing – Arabicadabra Coffee Milk Stout Review

Today I’m checking out Bell’s newest coffee milk stout, Arabicadabra. Arabicadabra was just released in October and boy is it a doozy. It’s brewed with a cold coffee extract and the added lactose makes this thing creamy as all get out. Bell’s is adding to their already killer lineup with another quality beer. Right Brain Brewery – CEO Stout – Coffee Stout Review

Right Brain Brewery’s CEO Stout is a coffee stout with just enough up front sweetness to draw you in, and the coffee kick to keep you coming back for more.

Right Brain is one of the most inventive brewers in Michigan, and they need to be to survive with the abundance of other great breweries in the Traverse City area. CEO Stout is one of their mainstays, and after this review I can see why. (more…)
