Short’s Brewing Company – Batch 10,000 Double Brut IPA

Batch 10,000 from Short’s Brewing Company is a 14.2% ABV Double Brut IPA, brewed with mango and black currant and helps commemorate Short’s ten thousandth batch! Batch 8,000 was just last year and even further back, batch 5,000 was brewed in January 2016. How long is it going to take to get to 20,000 at this pace?! At 14.2%, how dry does this double brut IPA get, and does the mango and black currant help offset that high abv? Watch and find out!

Barrel and Beam – Frugivore Kettle Sour – A Summer Beer with Mangoes!

Today I’m checking out a Kettle Sour from the UP – specifically, Marquette, Michigan. This is Frugivore from Barrel + Beam, which they say on their website “a brewery solely focused on crafting world-class farmhouse and barrel-aged real ale. Our name reflects the intersection of Old-World process with New-World taste and premium ingredients.” Frugivore is a Kettle Sour that’s brewed with mangoes, and they like to categorize it as a summer beer. Since it’s still technically warm enough to be summer, I thought this would be a good time to take a look at it, so stay tuned!

Other Half – Oh… Dream DDH IPA

This was easily one of my favorite brews from HOMES inagural Nucleate Festival – Other Half’s DDH Oh… Dream. I was lucky enough to snag a can and bring it back to you. Out of Brooklyn, New York, Other Half is one of the most highly regarded craft breweries from a very saturated area, and this one features Tons of Citra, Galaxy and Motueka hops. Was my judgement clouded by over-imbibing? Watch for a level headed evaluation!
