Head 2 Head – Boss Tweed vs. Reclassified

In today’s video I’m putting Old Nation’s Boss Tweed in a side by side comparison with Ascension Brewing Company’s Reclassified. Both New England Style Double IPAs are going head 2 head to see which comes out on top. Ever since first trying this new version of Reclassified about 6 months ago, I knew it was a perfect competitor for Boss Tweed, which has been my favorite New England style Double IPA to date. Which one comes out on top? Watch to find out!

Old Vs. New – Boss Tweed

I took a look in my fridge and realized that I had two different batches of Old Nation Brewing’s Double New England Style IPA – Boss Tweed. That got me thinking… does freshness in an NE IPA really matter? Both were sitting in my fridge since they were purchased, one was just newer than the other. How much difference could it really make, and would I be able to notice a difference if I tried them side by side?

Old Nation – Full Earth – Boss Tweed pt. 2?

Full Earth from Old Nation Brewing is their newest Double NE IPA, and I would think a direct competitor to their original DNEIPA, Boss Tweed.  I think it was only a few weeks from time I’d heard this was being released to it hitting shelves, and I was wondering how it would set itself apart from Boss Tweed.   With Boss Tweed taking a bit of a brew, is it a good substitute?  In today’s video, I not only review Full Earth, but I also do a full *scientific side by side between the two – and I make a desert island declaration.  Watch for more!

Old Nation’s Boss Tweed – Double NE IPA Review – The Juiciest Yet?

After my maiden voyage to Old Nation’s Brewery in Williamston, MI – I knew I had to bring home a sample to taste and show off for you all and come one step closer to completing the quadrilogy that is my Old Nation New Orthodox IPA series of reviews.

Behold, a 9.3% double New England style IPA from the Michigan masters at Old Nation. Haze is good, and this beer is a testament to that. The sweetness of M43, and the balance hoppy bitterness of Boxer NE IPA had a love child, and that love child is Boss Tweed. Prepare to be hazed.
