I’m back at it again with another from Brewery Vivant, and this time it’s a doozy. Wizard Burial Ground is their limited, once a year release and they really try to blow the doors off the sucka with it. This is a bourbon barrel aged belgian style quad that will make you feel like you’ve just been struck by a lightening bolt. Weighing in at 11.8% for the 2017 release, don’t be surprised if it casts polymorph on you and transforms you into a drunken version of yourself.

I’m taking a look at the elusive and exclusive 2017 edition of Bell’s Black Note Stout. This time, topping over 11%, Black Note hits notes of dark chocolate, coffee and dried fruit to … a masterful performance! Hey Friends, today I’m checking out New Holland Brewing’s Dragon’s Milk Reserve Mocha Mint which is an 11% Imperial Stout with Chocolate, Mint and Coffee flavors. The Dragon’s Milk Reserve line is the line that New Holland uses to test out some of their flavored Dragon’s Milk, and they usually put out about 3 or 4 of these a year. Being an imperial stout that’s bourbon barrel aged, I’m expecting to get some bourbon flavors on the back end. ackwoods Bastard is Founders 5th in their 2017 barrel aged series lineup – following Frootwood, KBS, Doom and DKML. Backwoods Bastard is a BBA Scotch Ale, which follow’s Founders trends of releasing a different style for each of the beers in their barrel aged series.
While Backwoods Bastard is the fifth in their bourbon barrel aged series, an unnamed beer is slated to release in December – many speculate this may be CBS (Canadian Breakfast Stout), but that is unconfirmed by Founders so far, and hasn’t been released since 2014.
