Short’s Brewing – Barney Blood Milkshake IPA

Barney Blood is a 7.2% Milkshake IPA brewed with strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, lactose and vanilla beans from our friends at Short’s Brewery in Bellaire, Michigan. Initially released last summer, it was a very limited release only sold out of Short’s Mart, but now it’s hit store shelves state wide. Lactose is really what should set this beer apart as a Milkshake IPA rather than a New England style IPA. I love you, you love me, but is barney blood worth your money? Watch this to get the straight fossilized poop.

City Built Brewing – Besitos de Fresa Milk Stout

Besitos de Fresa is a 10.6% Milk Stout from City Built Brewing Company in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Besitos De Fresa means “Strawberry Kisses” in Spanish and City Built has created this milk stout busting with strawberry and sweet milk chocolate flavor, but can too much of a good thing be a bad thing, or does the flavor profile work itself out? Watch the full review to find out more!

Perrin Brewing – Push Hop Strawberry NE IPA Review

Push Hop is a Strawberry New England Style IPA from Perrin Brewing Company (Part of Canarchy) in Comstock, Michigan at 6.3% ABV. I was really looking forward to trying out their Peach Bellini when it was released, but I was ultimately not impressed. This time around my only point of reference for Strawberry NE IPAs is Tart Strawberry M43, so Push Hop is living in a pretty large shadow – but we won’t know until it gets dropped down the hatch, so let’s go!

Old Nation Brewing – Tart Strawberry M-43 Review

Old Nation Brewing’s Tart Strawberry M-43 is probably the most sought after beer in the state of Michigan right now. So much so that it’s like catching up to a unicorn just to grab at the tail and get a stray hair that comes out. I raced half an hour across town to get one can, and then raced another 30 minutes back the way I came to get a second one. Most places have been selling out in an hour, but what does that have to do with beer? You want to know how it tastes?! Well friends, keep watching to find out if it’s worth the chase!
