Ellison Brewery in East Lansing has been generating a buzz, but until now I’ve been unable to find them in cans in my area. I’m glad that I found Crescent Fresh IPA, because it’s one of the most intriguing IPAs that I’ve had in quite some time and is a totally new take on the concept. Psychedelic Cat Grass by Short’s is made and shipped as fresh as possible. The pack I picked up was actually bottled the same day I bought it. This triple hopped IPA beauty may be too piney for some fans, but it teases with enough citrus sweetness to win me over. This is my first review of a Short’s beer since their 20% sale to Lagunitas, and I’m going to be as objective as possible when reviewing their beers going forward. (more…)
