On camera reviews and tastings to give you everything but the smell and the taste (and the feel too, I guess).
Griffin Claw’s Flying Buffalo is their biggest release of the year – a line of barrel aged stouts, and today I have all 8 varieties from 2018. Orange and Chocolate, Hazelnut and Coffee, Mole, Oblivious and all the others are here. I try all 8 in a single elimination tournament until there is only one left standing. This is a two part series, and this is part one going through the first 4.

Saugatuck Brewing Company has started their own Barrel Aged line, and much like Founders, they’re taking some of their most popular stouts and aging them – Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Neapolitan Milk Stout is one of their most popular stouts and today I take a look at it after it’s gotten that bourbon barrel treatment. I’ve had mixed feelings about the everyday Neapolitan Milk Stout, so I’m really curious how the BBA version will work out. Stay Tuned to see what I think!

Gentle Jack Jones Brown Ale from Batch Brewing Company in Detroit, Michigan is a 5.8% ABV Brown Ale. I think us folk in Michigan have gotten pretty lucky this season with Brown Ales, in that we got a wide release of Electron Brown, but here comes this other brown, Gentle Jack Jones from Batch Brewing. Does Gentle Jack have a chance against the Brown that is Electron? Watch to see!

Push Hop is a Strawberry New England Style IPA from Perrin Brewing Company (Part of Canarchy) in Comstock, Michigan at 6.3% ABV. While I usually think Perrin puts out some pretty good stouts and darker beer, I haven’t been overly impressed with their “New England Style” IPAs. I was really looking forward to trying out their Peach Bellini when it was released, but I was ultimately not impressed. This time around my only point of reference for Strawberry NE IPAs is Tart Strawberry M43, so Push Hop is living in a pretty large shadow – but we won’t know until it gets dropped down the hatch, so let’s go!

Upland Brewing Company’s Mother’s Harvest is a wet hopped IPA, and Friend of the channel YalaTV sent this to me in an awesome beer mail package. Big thanks to Steve, and hopefully you’ll check out his channel, and stay tuned for more great non-Michigan beer reviews from Indiana and Wisconsin!
