Well friends, Founders 5th release in their 2018 Barrel Aged Series is upon us, and this time it’s an old friend – Curmudgeons Better Half – the maple barrel aged version of their traditional Old Ale, Curmudgeon. where does it fall in the order of best to worst? Today I have a “Juicy” IPA from Big Lake Brewing in Holland, Michigan – Breakwall IPA. This is the first time I’ve ever seeen this beer, and as there was no date on the can, I’m not sure if it’s new, old or maybe limited, but – this is labelled as a Juicy IPA, so is this another New England Style IPA, or does it lean more on the IPA side?

Based on the input I got from Facebook, I’m going to be trying out Short’s Synalpheus Pinkfloydi and Latitude 42’s Lucifer’s Cuvee – with any luck this will go off without a hitch, but I’m using this an an experiment to get a feel for a possible mobile setup – here goes nothing! Don’t forget, watch until the end, had a great time answering questions from everyone, and we’re all gonna do this again sometime soon!

Coming to you from the Southwest side of the state, it’s my first taste of Coconut Porter from Paw Paw brewing (aka 2 Paws) in Paw Paw Michigan. I’m a fan of porters, and I enjoy coconut porters – which are difficult to do the right way. Is this going to tickle my fancy or get my ire instead? Stay tuned to find out for sure!
